As I look at this place around me and think about all I have seen it is difficult to do anything but give thanks and praise to God. But sometimes it is difficult. I think about all the people here and my heart goes out to them, desiring for them to know the truth. This is a land of many contrasts, a land of light and darkness, truth and lies, rich and poor. But still there is hope. It has been an incredible journey. One not taken alone but in the continual presence of our awesome Father and Brother. His heart too is full of compassion for these, His created people. It has been humbling to be in this place. To be a witness to His moving and mighty power. May we continue to intercede for the lost that they may find the light and truth, that they may be called rich because they are His.
Some highlights from this week...
Sunday, we held a valentines celebration for the youth service. This year we declared Jesus as our valentine. Monday, we were blessed with the opportunity to spend the day and night in Delhi with the Stoltzfus's and Istvan and Kristina. Tuesday, we celebrated with director Alex the dedication of his house to be a blessing to all who will enter. Wednesday, I turned a quarter of a century and enjoyed celebrating with my host family and friends here. It was a blessing. Thursday, we spent time hanging out with Ryan from Disc. Min. and enjoyed fellowship with him. Friday, the evening prayer time was once again moving. Saturday, we visited Austin's friend who came to Delhi, it was an enjoyable afternoon as a team. Sunday, I had an incredible opportunity to talk with my home church; it was encouraging to share with them.
Praises:
For opportunities each day to give thanks and praise to our Father
For safety in everyday travels
For our Father giving us words to speak and share
For wonderful warm weather
Requests:
For activities and programs these final days here in India, that we would continue to seek His guidance in these matters in order to be a blessing
For the transition from India to the Himalayas, that it will be a smooth transition
For the preparations for the Himalayas as we are expecting to do some disc. training and teaching
May you be richly clothed, full of peace, and abounding in gratitude with a thankful heart - Col. 3:12-17
Jess
