Her tears said it all...

"Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God." Luke 6:20

Her tears said it all...

You see, she was warming herself by the fire. The winds blew and the smoke beckoned her to close her eyes. The warmth from the fire was a blessing on that overcast winter day. And it soon became hot. Too hot. She opened her eyes, only to realize that her sari and shawl had caught on fire. The flames were traveling higher. By the grace of our Father he spared her that day only with some minor burns. Her sari and petticoat were gone, and she only had one sari remaining.

Our Father calls us to share with His people who are in need. We have embraced this passage as a team. So immediately we felt a desire within us to help. It was nothing extraordinary. It was a simple gift...

But her tears said it all... God will surely bless you and your families, she said. Tears streamed down her face. My eyes welled up...

She lives a simple life. Earning just enough to get by; cleaning houses and washing other peoples' clothes. Not to mention trying to save up for her daughter's impending marriage, the man's family is asking for a good dowry. She lives in a small house with five other families. Her husband is a drunkard. But she believes in the Lamb and her hope is in Him.

Her tears said it all that evening... Her trust and faith is in the same one whom we profess... Praise the Lord that hers is the kingdom of God...

Reading this brought tears to my eyes. I do not know what you gave this woman, but it is obvious that you were doing daddy's will.
